# Manual entry & no-image receipts

Type a receipt in by hand when there's no photo to scan — or save an expense with no image at all.

**How it helps**

Not every expense comes with a clean receipt: bank-fee lines, e-transfers, a receipt that faded or never existed. Manual entry keeps those in your records instead of in your memory.

**Using it**

- Choose manual entry instead of uploading a file, then fill in vendor, date, amounts, and category yourself.
- Manual entries don't use an AI scan — they don't count against your monthly scan limit.
- Records saved without an image are marked *accepted with no image*, so exports stay honest about what's backed by proof.

**Good to know**

- You can attach an image later if the receipt turns up.
- Tax fields (GST/HST/PST) are optional — enter them if they're known.
