# Sales tax extraction (GST/HST/PST)

Stacko reads the sales-tax lines off your receipt — GST, HST, and PST — alongside the subtotal and total.

**How it helps**

The tax breakdown is captured automatically, so the numbers your bookkeeper or accountant needs are already on the record — and they flow into your CSV export as their own columns.

**Using it**

- Tax fields fill in automatically when you add a receipt.
- Review them against the receipt and correct any that are off before saving.
- Exported CSVs include Subtotal, GST, HST, PST, and Tax columns.

**Good to know**

- Available on all plans.
- Stacko surfaces what's printed on the receipt for your review. It doesn't calculate what you owe, claim input tax credits, or handle remittance — that's between you and your accountant.
