# Upload a receipt

Snap a photo or upload a JPG, PNG, or PDF (up to 10 MB). Stacko's AI reads the details so you don't type them in.

**How it helps**

One photo becomes a clean expense record — vendor, date, amount, and category filled in for you. Capture expenses as they happen instead of rebuilding a year of spending at tax time.

**Using it**

- **Phone:** tap **Take photo**, or **Upload file** to pick from your library.
- **Desktop:** drag the file onto the upload area, or click **Upload file**.
- Stacko fills in the details — review them and tap **Save Receipt**.

**No image?** A receipt image is optional. Enter a receipt by hand, or save an expense with no image — Stacko marks it *accepted with no image* so your records stay honest about what's backed by proof.

**Good to know**

- Accepted files: JPG, PNG, PDF, up to 10 MB.
- A flat, well-lit shot of the whole receipt reads best.
- You need to be signed in — the AI step runs on Stacko's servers.
