Duplicate detection
Updated June 21, 2026 · Stacko team
Will Stacko catch it if I add the same receipt twice?
When you add a receipt that looks like one you already have, Stacko warns you before it's saved.
How it helps
Keeps your totals honest. The same expense counted twice throws off your records and your tax-time numbers — Stacko flags the overlap so you can skip it or keep it on purpose.
Using it
- Add receipts as usual. If one looks similar to an existing record, Stacko shows a duplicate warning.
- You decide: skip it, or save it anyway if it's genuinely a separate expense.
- Already have duplicates? Use Delete duplicates to review likely matches and clear them in one place.
Good to know
- Available on all plans.
- Stacko only *flags* likely duplicates — nothing is deleted without your confirmation.
The boundary
Stacko flags likely duplicates for your review. It won't delete anything without you.
